Easter is a Christian celebration that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This festival will be celebrated around the world. According to the New Testament of the Bible, Passover occurs three days after Jesus was crucified by the Romans.
Easter ends with the “Passion of Christ”, which begins with a 40-day fast – Lent and ends with Holy Week. Holy Thursday (celebrating the last supper of Jesus) and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on Good Friday are part of Holy Sunday which ends on Easter Sunday.
Passover is celebrated as a joyful event and the previous Sunday is called Palm Sunday which marks the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem. Various churches began the celebration on Saturday mornings with a religious service called Easter Vigil. Non-religious celebrations include the Easter egg tradition, representing birth, and the Easter rabbit that brings chocolate and sweets to children on Sunday morning.
